They've long had a mutual appreciation society and now, in what could be a match made in pop heaven, Beyoncé and Adele have recorded a song together - and it features Coldplay’s Chris Martin on piano.

The forthcoming song is set to appear on OneRepublic’s new album and news of the all-star collaboration emerged after the band’s frontman Ryan Tedder appeared to let it slip during an interview over the weekend.

Speaking backstage at Global Citizen festival 2019, Tedder was talking about his band’s new record, which is due next year, when he suddenly announced that Beyoncé, Adele and Martin would all feature on a song together.

"I don’t wanna talk…." Tedder is heard saying at the end before the footage cuts out.

While this will be the first time that powerhouse vocalists Beyoncé and Adele have appeared on a song together, Beyoncé and Martin have already collaborated on Coldplay’s Hymn For The Weekend in 2015, which was the second single released from the band’s seventh studio album A Head Full of Dreams.

Meanwhile, Adele’s fourth album is expected to arrive in time for Christmas.
