EastEnders is reported to be revving up a car crash cliffhanger as the Mel-Sharon feud spins out of control.

Digital Spy reports that Tamzin Outhwaite and Letitia Dean, who play Mel and Sharon respectively, have filmed chase scenes where Sharon pursues Mel as she tries to leave Walford.
It says a van crashes into Mel's car, sending it into the air. Sharon looks on in horror, not knowing if Mel is alive or dead.
In 2002, Mel's husband Steve died in a car crash while being chased by Sharon's husband Phil - Louise's father.
EastEnders star Outhwaite recently filmed her exit scenes as Mel.
"So that's it!" she tweeted. "The end of an era... for me at least. Melanie Healy/Beale/Owen has left the building... it's been a pleasure, a privilege and a 21 year association with a family I will cherish forever and never forget....TIL next time my beautiful cast and crew... you all rock."
