American actor Brian Turk, who appeared in TV series such as Beverly Hills, 90210 and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has died aged 49.
The actor passed away on Friday, September 13, following complications due to cancer.
A message on the actor's GoFundMe page read: "Unfortunately Brian passed away Friday morning, 9/13 from complications of his cancer."
He had first been diagnosed with brain cancer in early 2018. The GoFundMe page was set up in July 2019 when he was told his cancer was terminal in order to provide money for his family.
Turk was best known for playing the character Tiny in the 1990s teen drama Beverly Hills, 90210 and he played Mort in Joss Whedon's Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
He also had roles in Saved by the Bell: The New Class, Boy Meets World, HBO's Carnivàle and Two and a Half Men.
Turk's film credits include American Pie 2, Crocodile Dundee in Los Angeles, and The Lost World: Jurassic Park.
Turk is survived by his wife Emily Wu and their eight-year-old son.
