Coronation Street star Nathan Graham has said he is trying to "learn as much as I can and keep improving" during his time on the long running soap.
Graham plays James Bailey, and he is loving his time on the cobbles so far.
"I'm having a great time, everybody is so friendly," he said.
"Working on the party has been really good as we've got to work with people we haven’t worked with before. I’m taking it day by day, just trying to learn as much as I can and keep improving."
While he has settled in well to life on Corrie, his character James is still finding his feet.
"He’s slowly starting to interact with new people and form new relationships. His brother is more out there than James whereas he lets people come to him a bit more," he said.
One of the new relationships James is forging is with Bethany, and when she tries to kiss him he tells her that he is gay, despite having planned to keep his sexuality a secret.
Speaking about James' decision to keep his sexuality from his family, he said, "It’s his fears of what it would mean to him to come out and that’s a grey area, the fear of the unknown.
"I think he’s thinking worst case scenario, his dad and his brother might turn their back on him, his career could go down the pan, he feels he could lose everything."
