Rapper and singer Nicki Minaj has said she is retiring from music to start a family.
She shared the news with fans on Twitter on Thursday, writing: "I've decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now."
"To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, in the box- cuz ain't nobody checkin me," she added. "Love you for LIFE."

Minaj - real name Onika Tanya Maraj - released her most recent album, Queen, in August 2018. The 10-time Grammy nominee was a guest artist on the Megan Thee Stallion single Hot Girl Summer last month.
Minaj is in a relationship with Kenneth 'Zoo' Petty. He is a registered sex offender who was convicted of a 1994 attempted first-degree rape when both he and the victim were 16-years-old. Petty has also served time in prison for first-degree manslaughter.
