Watch: Disney unleashes Lady and the Tramp trailer

The first trailer for the upcoming live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp has been released.

This will be the first of Disney's live-action remakes not to get a cinema release.

It will be released as part of the Disney+ launch day offerings and will be available exclusively on the streaming service.

The film is based on the original 1955 animated classic which tells the story of a love affair between an upper-middle-class American cocker spaniel named Lady and a street-smart, downtown stray mongrel called the Tramp. The roles will be voiced by Tessa Thompson and Justin Theroux in the remake.

The film will also feature the voices of Janelle Monae, Ashley Jensen and Benedict Wong, while Thomas Mann and Kiersey Clemons play Lady's owners.

Lady And The Tramp from director Charlie Bean will arrive on Disney+ in the US on November 12.
