Peepshow and The Favourite star Olivia Colman has been cast as a femme fatale in the upcoming new season of The Simpsons.
Oscar-winning Colman will voice a character who sets out to seduce Homer.
Tweeting the news, James L. Brooks, the executive producer of the long-running series, which is entering its 31st season, said: "Just this second came from recording one of the best guest appearances in Simpsons history," he wrote of Colman's performance. "No kidding, I am flying."

Brooks added that the actress plays a "femme fatal [sic] who attracts every man she’s ever met but falls hard, harder than she ever imagined, for Homer Simpson."
Colman won the Best Actress award at this year’s Oscars for her portrayal of Queen Anne in The Favourite. She beat Lady Gaga, Glenn Close, Melissa McCarthy, and Yalitza Aparicio to take home the award.
Singer John Legend, Aquaman star Jason Momoa, and Breaking Bad star Bob Odenkirk are also set to guest star on the new season of The Simpsons.
