It is reported that reality TV star Gemma Collins has been working on her debut single with Beyoncé and Rihanna collaborator Naughty Boy, with the results due out later this year.
A Sun exclusive says The Only Way is Essex stalwart and producer and DJ Naughty Boy "hit it off over a shared love of curry" after being introduced at this year's Brit Awards by the tabloid's Dan Wooton.
Wooton says the "unlikely pop music project" has secured Collins a deal with Universal and she is taking singing lessons "three times a week to get ready".
"The Universal deal also explains why we won't see Gemma strut her stuff for Simon Cowell on the celebrity version of the X Factor, which launches later this year," writes Wooton.
"The show's producers had been desperate to sign her, so much so that a whopping £250,000 deal was even being discussed.
"But the winner of that series will be offered a contract with Cowell's company Syco, part of the Sony Music empire.
"That made it impossible for Gemma to take part, given her new record deal with rival Universal."
In February, Naughty Boy - real name Shahid Khan - posted a photo of himself and Collins on Instagram with the caption: "C X NB = album soon come."
