Home and Away stars Sarah Roberts and James Stewart have described their recent wedding in Ireland as "magic".

The actors, who play Willow Harris and Justin Morgan in the Australian soap, tied the knot at Luttrellstown Castle outside Dublin City on July 23.

Speaking exclusively to Australian magazine Who, Stewart said: "We could have easily gotten married under a tree by some water or on a property up in the hills; anywhere! But this has been magic."

"I wanted it to be a celebration of love and the important thing for us is for our families to come together and for us all to be together and everyone to just have an enjoyable time," Roberts continued.

Explaining why the couple decided to marry in Ireland, Roberts said her brother lives here and is currently unable to travel "because of health reasons".

"And my mum's over here at the moment as well," she added.

Roberts and Stewart had to fit their wedding in around the Home and Away filming schedule.

"We've got two production breaks at work," she said. "Either July or December. December is going to be really cold in Ireland, so we thought July would be perfect and actually it was!

"It was 25 degrees the day we got married, which is really unusual for Ireland at this time. They were all running around saying it was a heatwave!"

Home and Away airs weekdays on RTÉ One and RTÉ2, with repeats at the weekend on RTÉ2.
