The latest radio listenership figures has revealed that over two million people are tuning into RTÉ's radio services every week.
RTÉ Radio 1 is the only radio station in the country with reach of over 1 million people on a weekly basis, with 1,372,000 tuning in. RTÉ Radio 1 also claims the top 19 spots across the all-week national radio programmes for adults 15+.
Morning Ireland remains the most listened to show in the country with 424,000 listners, followed by The Marian Finucane Show (Saturday), Liveline with Joe Duffy and The Ryan Tubridy Show respectively.
Meanwhile RTÉ 2FM has a weekly reach figure of 839,000 listeners. Figures for specific shows are not comparable at this time due to a recent schedule change at the station.
Speaking about the new schedule Dan Healy, Head of RTÉ Radio Strategy and RTÉ 2FM said: "We are very pleased with how everything sounds on the new schedule. We knew for certain what Tracy Clifford (1pm to 3pm) and Jenny Grenne (3pm to 6pm) would sound like as they are great presenters, both whom have done so well for the station over the past 4 to 5 years.
"We also knew that Doireann and Eoghan would create a brilliant show but the speed in which the programme has developed is a huge credit to them and their production team.
"Jennifer Zamparelli is creating a new genre of speech radio from 9am and the listener reaction is stunning. New voices are being heard and topics are been explored in a way not heard on Irish radio before."
RTÉ Lyric Fm is reaching 273,000 listeners each week. Movies and Musicals is the most listened to show on the station followed by Lorcan Murray's Classic Drive and Marty in the Morning.
