Love Islanders pick which couple should be dumped from the villa

Could Curtis and Maura be leaving Love Island?
Could Curtis and Maura be leaving Love Island?

The remaining Love Island contestants were asked to choose which of their fellow couples should be dumped from the villa in a shocking twist on Friday night's episode.

Each pair had to have a private conversation to decide which couple they think is the least compatible before casting a secret vote.

Tommy and Molly-Mae, who have been the bookies' favourite to win, did not receive any votes, and neither did Amber Gill and Limerick newcomer Greg O'Shea.

That means both couples are saved from the public vote.

Longford model Maura Higgins and Curtis Pritchard received two votes along with Ovie and India, while Anton and Belle received one vote.

Viewers then voted for which of these three couples they wanted to save and go through to the final on Monday.

Commentators took to Twitter to explain their reasoning behind which couple they wanted to keep on the series.

There seemed to be a lot of support to keep Maura and Curtis in the competition as they're the "most entertaining couple by far".

Many viewers also got behind Ovie and India.

Viewers will have to wait until Sunday's episode to find out the result of the public vote.

The Love Island final airs on Virgin Media Two on Monday.
