The original Sugababes have confirmed they are back in the studio recording new music and are planning a special surprise for fans to celebrate 20 years since the release of their debut album.
Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy may use the moniker MKS these days, but they will always be Sugababes to us.
And we are thrilled to hear they are reuniting to record new music and to go on tour.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper Buena said: "We're working on new music and have a secret project that should be made public later this year.
"Plus we are working on something special for our fans that is coming out for our 20th anniversary.

"As well as the music we’ve planned a tour. We need to put it out there for everyone to see and hear us again.
"Everything new we are working on will be classic Sugababes/MKS sounds. I’m excited to get out there."

Sugababes first got together in 1998 and released their first album One Touch in 2000, which included their hits Overload, New Year and Run for Cover. Just a year later the band had the first of many line-up changes when Donaghy left and was replaced by Heidi Range.
In 2005 Buena quit and was replaced by Amelle Berrabah. Buchanan, who was the only original member remaining, departed ways with the band in 2009 and was replaced by Jade Ewen. They announced an indefinite hiatus in 2013.
2013 was also the year Donaghy, Buena and Buchanan got back together as MKS and released the single, Flatline.
They have not released anything since, but Buena said they have been working on new music.
"We’ve been working on music but everyone’s got their own lives as well.
"The reaction to the picture we put online was overwhelming. "We can’t wait to get started. Next year will be our year."
