Ulrika Jonsson is reported to be in talks to appear on I’m A Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here!
The 51-year-old became famous in the late 1980s as a TV-am weather presenter, before moving on to present the hugely popular Gladiators, and also became a team captain on Shooting Stars.
In 2009, Jonsson took part in and won Channel 4's Celebrity Big Brother. A year later she featured in Ultimate Big Brother, while in 2017 she reached the final of Celebrity MasterChef.
Following her recent split from third husband Brian Monet after 11 years of marriage, the Swedish TV presenter is thought to be considering a stint in the jungle as a career option.
An unnamed source told The Sun: "Ulrika has been through a lot in the past few years. And now that she is getting divorced she feels the time is right for a new challenge.
"The Australian jungle certainly fits that description. And she knows that if she signs, it will be the first of many new TV contracts coming her way."
The insider added: "Meanwhile, ITV bosses think she could be a great fit for the jungle, as she won’t hold back when it comes to getting stuck into the challenges".
"After she spoke so candidly about the break-down of her decade long marriage recently, they also think viewers will find her very relatable."
When asked about the possibility of Ulrika Jonsson joining the show, an ITV spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: "Any names suggested for I’m A Celebrity are just speculation."
