Three of the eliminated contestants on Love Island have said they think new arrival Marvin Brooks is playing a game, and that his feelings for Irish contestant Maura Higgins are not genuine.

Dennon Lewis, Stevie Bradley and Dan Rose made their comments after Tuesday night's recoupling drama on the ITV show, which saw the contestants having to choose whether to stay with their original partners or pick a new one. The three men missed out when the female Islanders had to make their minds up.

Maura had previously shared a kiss with Dennon but chose to go with Marvin.

When asked after his elimination if Marvin was playing a game in the villa, Dennon replied, "I'm not sure he would be with her [Maura] on the outside."

"He was doing whatever it takes. He doesn't feel genuine towards Maura"

Dennon's comments were echoed by Stevie, who said: "I think Marvin changed strategy halfway through. I didn't think he liked Maura. I think he realised this was a way for him to get in.

"He's a lovely bloke, but I definitely saw a change in direction."

"He was doing whatever it takes," added Dan. "He doesn't feel genuine towards Maura.

"I think it depends on how it pans out whether she'll realise that."

Love Island continues on Virgin Media Two and ITV2.
