Love Island: Amber sees red after Michael recouples with Joanna

Talk about conscious recoupling! Viewers were possibly left choking on their Daiquiris on Tuesday night after Michael chose to recouple with newcomer Joanna after the pair shared a kiss in the villa earlier in the episode.

This left poor Amber rather peeved, shocked and, most importantly, very single - hardly a chivalrous move on Michael's part, considering that she had chosen to stay with him.

Meanwhile, Jordan also became single as he chose to stay loyal to Anna, who returned to the villa recoupled with Ovie.

The prisoners of lurve at Casa Amor also saw Danny couple up with Jourdan, who had already fended off Curtis’s affections. This meant Curtis recoupled with "half-girlfriend" Amy.

But, as we all know, all is not fair in love, war and TV ratings and there could be clouds on the sun-lit horizon for the pair after Curtis was he might be getting cold feet about his relationship with Amy.

Elsewhere, Anton coupled up with Belle and his previous "friend couple" partner Lucie chose George after being split between him and Stevie, who she shared a kiss with on Monday.

After being split between Marvin and Dennon, Maura chose Marvin.

The only couple who survived this romantic bloodbath in the latest and fiendish Casa Amor were Tommy and Molly-Mae who both chose to couple up with each other.

So to recap, young lovers and old - here are the new Love Island runners and riders:

Danny and Jordan

Anton and Belle

Curtin and Amy

Tommy and Molly-Mae

Lucie and George

Maura and Marvin

Anna and Ovie

Michael and Joanna

This means Amber and Jordan are now single.

Maria, Nabila, Lavena, Stevie, Dan and Dennon were dumped from the Island.

Love Island airs nightly at 9.00pm on Virgin Media Two.
