Adele has heaped praise on Stormzy following his headline set at Glastonbury, hailing him as a "strong, sweet and honest man".
Taking to the festival's iconic Pyramid Stage on Friday night, Stormzy became the first black British solo artist to headline Glastonbury.
The 25-year-old grime artist, whose real name is Michael Omari, wowed the crowd and has been receiving hugely positive feedback after his performance. Before the event he had said he was "overwhelmed with emotions" and that he felt his "entire life has lead to this moment."
"I have love in abundance for this strong, sweet and honest man," Adele posted to Instagram.
"I'm so proud of him, Stormzy just monumentally headlined Glastonbury in his own right with one album!! The first Grime artist ever to do so, you respected everyone that opened the door for you whilst opening a huge one yourself.
"You and your team are all so good, hard working and beautiful and deserve everything that comes your way. It's been a joy to watch you unfold at lightning speed with absolute grace. It's actually crazy what you've done in less than 3 years, well done darling x"
Ed Sheeran said Stormzy is an "inspiration to many."
"First black British solo artist to headline Glastonbury, second youngest to ever headline, and just an inspiration to so many," Sheeran captioned a picture of Stormzy on stage.
"This is just the start, congrats big Mike, looking forward to see you do more achievements like this"
Canadian rapped Drake sent his congratulations, saying, "@Stormzy headlining Glastonbury and that. Madness congrats."
