Philipper Zdar, one half of the French house duo Cassius, has died after falling from a window in Paris. He was 52.
The French electro star's death was confirmed by his agent.
"He made an accidental fall, through the window of a high floor of a Parisian building," Sebastien Farran said, without giving any further details.
The DJ and producer had worked with a host of famous musicians throughout his career including Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Cat Power and the Beastie Boys' Mike D.

He founded the dance music duo Cassius along with Hubert Blanc-Francard in 1996, having worked together since the late 1980s.
They became a staple of the French electronic scene with their first album 1999 released that year, which mixed hip hop, house and funk.
Their first single to become a mainstream hit was Cassius 1999.
Cassius's latest album, Dreems, is set for release this Friday.
Zdar is survived by his wife, Dyane Cerboneschi, and three children.
Tributes to the late music star have been paid on Twitter.

La Funk Mob's Mo Wax 12"s were some of the first "dance" records I ever bought, back in 2004, and Motorbass’ sole LP remains one of house music’s greatest LPs. RIP Zdar.

philippe zdar was such a huge inspiration. i remember spending weeks mastering 'unbelievers' — putting it up against phoenix’s ‘1901’ as the benchmark of an incredible mix, —nothing could touch it. we had to mix it over and over again just to get close.

every single mix on 'wolfgang amadeus phoenix' is a masterpiece— loud, exciting, wide as hell and never, ever harsh. #zdar

So fucking sad to learn about Philippe Zdar last night. A true, true legend whose influence hangs over not just dance but indie, hip hop, all of it. I remember buying Feeling For You when it first came out and being blown away... My condolences to his family and friends 💔💔💔

Know I said yesterday I was taking a break from twitter but I just wanted to acknowledge the genius of Philippe Zdar and express what a tragic loss it is to not have him with us in the universe making music any more. Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix changed my life. RIP

Awful news about Phillipe Zdar, what an unbelievably lovely man with an incredible legacy. I was mesmerized by this record as a 15 year old https://t.co/H79OZ19Nxq
