Cracking Italian crime drama Gomorrah is back, as is The Supervet - meanwhile there's the last-ever episode of BBC dramedy, Mum . . .
Pick of the Day
Gomorrah, 9.00pm, Sky Atlantic & NOW TV
The critically-acclaimed Naples-set crime drama, inspired by the non-fiction book of the same name by Roberto Savioni, returns for a fourth season.
The story picks up right where the previous run's cliffhanger left off, as a devastating event pulls Naples to the verge of all-out war.
The only way crime boss Genny Savatano can maintain balance ion the city is to let a new player enter the game: the Lavante family, headed by Gerlando.
The Levantes hold sway over the north of Naples and have infiltrated every institution there. But once balance in the city has been restored, Genny has one more surprise in store.
New or Returning Shows
The Supervet, 8.00pm, Channel 4
Professor Noel Fitzpatrick is presented with an extraordinary range of often traumatic injuries and conditions in this brand-new run.
Rebecca and Chris are devastated when their four-year-old pug and beagle cross Barney is hit by a bus, crushing an ankle and causing extensive damage to his leg.
Fitzpatrick fears the puggle's wound poses a serious infection risk, and he has lost 40 per cent of the bone in the damaged leg, so he creates an innovative two-tier treatment, involving an external ankle frame for support.
Here's a great moment from a few years ago:

Don't Miss
Savage Builds, 10.00pm, Discovery
One of the many things I wanted to do when I was a kid was to be just like Tony Stark, and build my own Iron Man outfit.
The Marvel Comics' character has enjoyed immense popularity in recent years through the movies starring Robert Downey Jr. It's all fiction. Well, until now.
In the opening episode of this new series, Adam Savage, former co-host of the engineering series Mythbusters for 14 seasons, gets the Colorado School of Mines to produce a 3-D print of an Iron Man suit.
What a time to be alive.
