Metallica have thanked Slane Castle on social media after their concert there last night. This is the 12th time Metallica have performed in Ireland, since they first played here in 1986.
Thank you, Slane Castle! You were incredible!!! 🇮🇪 #MetAtSlaneCastle https://t.co/TneaCCeHnv

This was the first time that Metallica had performed at Slane and their first concert in Ireland in nearly ten years, since they played in Marlay Park in Dublin in 2009.
The band treated audiences to songs such as Hardwired, Now That We're Dead, Moth Into Flame, Halo On Fire and the first ever Irish performance of Spit Out the Bone.
Slane, you are beautiful! Show started tonight with Hardwired, Memory, Ride, and the Ireland favorite, Whiskey! Unforgiven just finished, and now it's time for Dead! #MetAtSlaneCastle #Metallica #WorldWired pic.twitter.com/skitX0gc8S
