A documentary about Laura Brennan is airing on the RTÉ Player today, Friday May 31.
The one-off documentary, Laura Brennan: This Is Me, follows the final chapters of her life as she dealt with terminal cervical cancer while living life to the fullest.
In early December 2016, Laura from Co Clare was diagnosed with cervical cancer at the age of 24.
She went on to became one of Ireland's leading patient advocates and a key HPV vaccine campaigner.
Her campaigning led to a surge in the number of young women taking the HPV vaccine.
She sadly passed away aged 26 on March 20.
The HSE issued a statement paying tribute to the 26-year-old.
#ThankYouLaura - three perfect words that sum up our gratitude for Laura Brennan, her HPV vaccine campaign and what she did for women in Ireland. This heartwarming and heartbreakingly sad documentary shows how Laura was born with a voice and selflessly used it to do good. Cancer was never going to change her.
"Cancer can change your body in a lot of ways, and change your thinking in a lot of ways. But it was never going to change who I am." Laura Brennan
