Fontaines DC will be joining the Forbidden Fruit line-up this year, while First Aid Kit have dropped out.

The line-up for the Dublin festival, which takes place from Saturday June 1 - Monday June 3 in The Royal Hospital, Kilmainham, also includes Skepta, Mura Masa, Elbow, Danny Brown, Paul Kalkbrenner, Jon Hopkins, Saint Sister, Laurent Garnier, Earl Sweatshirt, Peggy Gou, RY X. Julien Baker, Kojaque, and Mahalia.

The post-punk band Fontaines DC released their debut studio album, Dogrel, in April 2019 to widespread critical acclaim.

Their main stage Forbidden Fruit slot on Monday June 3 will be their biggest Irish show to date and their only outdoor Dublin show this year.

This will be one of two Irish festival appearances for the year, with the other being the sold outAll Together Now Festival in August.

It has also been announced that Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit have pulled out of all of their summer festival appearances so will not be taking to the stage in Kilmainham this June bank holiday weekend.

Sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg said in a message to fans: "Beloved listeners and followers, we’re devastated to have to cancel the planned summer dates this year.

"We were super excited to play, but because of unforeseen medical circumstances we simply cannot do the shows. All will be okay and we look forward to seeing you soon again."
