Shakespears Sister have revealed their 26-year feud was down to a lot of ''miscommunication'' among themselves and their team which led to them feeling like they were being pitted against one another.

This week the Dublin born singer Siobhan Fahey, who was also a Bananarama star, has hinted that she and Marcella Detroit are reuniting, in fact there is a single coming out next week.

Fahey claimed that the Stay singers' row was due to ''divisive personages'' within their team back when they were touring.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper Fahey said: "The s*** around us got in the way of our friendship and then the mutual paranoia built up. There were a couple of incidents. I think in the past few months of our touring I was counting down the days because it was so difficult.'The atmosphere was so fraught, we weren't speaking. It was no fun.''

She said after they recently met up: "Once the initial awkwardness was over, they were able to ''clear the air'' after ''misconceptions'' were resolved. ''We were able to discuss it like, 'Oh that's not really what happened at all'. It was good.''Fahey founded the group in 1988, Marcella was kicked out in 1993.

The band are releasing a new single All The Queen's Horses on May 15th and a greatest hits on July 19th.
