The Young Ones actor Adrian Edmondson, has joined the cast of the soap Eastenders, as a potential boyfriend for Jean Slater (Gillian Wright).
The Bottom actor otherwise known as Ade said out of the 15 people who were in his drama class at Manchester University, that two of them have already appeared in Eastenders.
"There were only 15 boys on my drama course at Manchester Uni, and I'll be the third to appear in EastEnders - so I feel it's a kind of tradition! The other two being Tom Watt [Lofty Holloway] and Paul Bradley [Nigel Bates]."
The 2013 Celebrity Master Chef winner is cast as "charming, with a wicked sense of humour" Daniel Cook, a new love interest for Jean Slater, played by Gillian Wright.
The BBC has said that they have started filming his scenes already, but he will not be on our screens until later in the summer.
