Joy Division will release a 40th anniversary red vinyl version of their epochal debut album Unknown Pleasures this June.

The limited edition album will be released on June 14, almost forty years to the day after it was originally released, on 180g ruby red vinyl with an alternative white sleeve resembling the original design idea by Peter Saville of a black-and-white visualization of pulsar data.

The album is regarded as one of the most important debut albums of all time, as well as a landmark in music/design history.
