Weather Live, 7.00pm, RTÉ One

Kathyrn Thomas presents this year's live audience show exploring Ireland's favourite obsession - the weather. It will be broadcast from a studio hub in the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin across three nights from Tuesday to Thursday.

Joining her will be the show’s very own science boffin, Phil Smyth, doing some practical experiments to explain the science behind weather, as well as familiar faces from Met Éireann.

In tonight's opener, Henry Shefflin - the most decorated hurler of all time - will be in the Botanics studio to talk about how weather conditions have impacted his sporting career.

New or Returning Shows

Bake Off: the Professionals, 8.00pm, Channel 4

Hosted by Liam Charles and Tom Allen, the toughest Bake Off on television welcomes teams from top hotels, restaurants and small businesses to do battle.

In the first of two heats, judges Cherish Finden and Benoit Blin set a pair of exceedingly tricky challenges for six new teams.

The first requires them to finely craft two batches of perfectly uniform miniature classics - 24 Linzer tortes and 24 Bakewell tarts - in just three and a half hours. For the second challenge, the teams are required to reinvent a classic dessert - the red velvet cake.

Why Do We Dance? 9.00pm, Sky Arts & NOW TV

Dancing transcends just about every country and culture in the world, but the question remains: why do we dance?

In a brand-new series, acclaimed British dancer and choreographer Akram Khan looks at various styles of dancing and explores the history of the form in search of the answer.

Ending Tonight

The Great British School Swap, 9.00pm, Channel 4

A white school and a mainly Asian school swap pupils in this radical experiment to see what happens when children from segregated areas mix for the first time.

In the finale, a clash of views over mixed-sex dancing threatens to upset the experiment when the students and parents arrange a celebration party.

Timeless, 10.00pm, E4

In the second of a two-part finale special of the US sci-fi time-travel drama, Emma lures Lucy, Wyatt, Rufus and Jiya into the Korean War during the Hungnam evacuation of 1950, forcing Christopher and Mason to try and save them and put a stop to Rittenhouse.

The Good Fight, 10.15pm, RTÉ one

The third season of this outstanding show continues as corruption incarnate enters the courtroom in the form of attorney Roland Blum, Maia's new co-counsel on a murder trial.

Elsewhere, the firm interviews a potential new head of matrimonial law, but Lucca is sceptical of his qualifications. Diane lets off some steam.
