Voting is now open for Ireland's Favourite Folk Song after the final five on the 10-song shortlist were revealed by Mary Black on The Ronan Collins Show on RTÉ Radio 1 on Friday.

Black, who is presenting the accompanying series on RTÉ One, revealed that the final five songs are: The Parting Glass, Only A Woman's Heart, Óro Sé Do Bheatha Bhaile, Rocky Road to Dublin and The Town I Loved So Well.

The five classics join the previously announced A Rainy Night in Soho, The Green Fields of France, The Foggy Dew, Danny Boy and On Raglan Road on the shortlist.

Voting is now open at www.rte.ie/culture, and over the next five weeks you can learn more about these much-loved songs on the RTÉ Culture website and on RTÉ Television and Radio.

Black presents the opening episode of Ireland's Favourite Folk Song on RTÉ One this Sunday at 7:30pm, when she will be joined by well-known faces who champion their favourites from the shortlisted tracks.

"It'll make for interesting television," she promised.
