Emma Bunton has brushed off rift rumours between the Spice Girls after it emerged that Melanie Brown was not rehearsing with the rest of the group ahead of their tour.

Bunton, Geri Horner and Melanie Chisholm began rehearsals together for the tour on Monday in London, but Mel B posted an Instagram from Los Angeles adding fuel to the rumour mill that there is a split in the group.

Bunton has now addressed the rumours, saying Mel B is only rehearsing separately in LA due to previous commitments.

"Me, Geri and Mel C were there. Mel B is rehearsing in LA because she's still got commitments and her children, so she's rehearsing there, which is really funny," Bunton said on ITV's Good Morning.

"She learns the same steps as us... We were doing a bit of FaceTiming. We're doing the same rehearsals, but obviously she's there. And then she comes over soon.

"I think she's coming over in the next few weeks, and then we all work together."

The Spice Girls, minus Victoria Beckham, bring their tour to Dublin's Croke Park on Friday, May 24.
