Graham Norton will host this year's Bafta TV awards, it has been announced.

The TV host said in a statement: "It has been almost 15 years since I first hosted the Television Awards and what a pleasure it is to be returning to host once again.

"2018 was a stand-out year for television and I look forward to seeing the brilliant talent in our industry rewarded."

Norton takes over from Sue Perkins who hosted the awards ceremony in 2018.

The British Academy Television Awards ceremony will be held in London on May 12.
