Greta Gerwig and her partner Noah Baumbach have welcomed their first child together.
A representative for the Oscar-nominated Lady Bird writer and director confirmed the news but did not reveal any more details.
The 35-year-old actress, writer and director and 49-year-old filmmaker Baumbach first met on the set of 2010 comedy-drama Greenberg.

They have since collaborated on the films Frances Ha in 2012 and Mistress America in 2015, both of which they co-wrote.
Gerwig is best known for her directorial debut on 2017's acclaimed coming-of-age drama Lady Bird, which starred Saoirse Ronan.
She earned two Oscar nominations for best director and best original screenplay, becoming only the fifth woman in history to score a best director nod.

Baumbach has been nominated for a best original screenplay Oscar for his 2005 film The Squid and the Whale.
This is Gerwig's first child, while Baumbach has a son from his marriage to actress Jennifer Jason Leigh.

Gerwig has reunited with her Lady Bird stars Saoirse Ronan and Timothée Chalamet for a remake of Little Women which is due to be released in December.
