As Jon Snow warns, "Our enemy doesn’t tire, doesn’t stop, doesn’t feel."

The eighth and final season of the show starts on HBO and Sky Atlantic on April 14 and runs until May 19 and will be made up of six feature-length episodes.

The battle for Winterfell, which is said to be the longest and most expensive consecutive battle sequence ever committed to film, will feature heavily in the new season.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the show’s creators and crew discussed how difficult the sequence was to film.

Maisie Williams, who plays Arya, said, "where you’re just broken as a human and just want to cry." Ian Glen, who plays Jorah Mormont, claimed that it was "the most unpleasant experience I’ve had on Thrones".
