Derry Girls is back, there's a couple of new comedies to look for, and The Good Fight guests the great Margo Martindale...

Pick of the Day

Derry Girls, 9.15pm, Channel 4

The girls are back in town! Let's hope writer/creator Lisa McGee can carry on where she left off after a superb first season.

And while the first run saw the gang navigate parents, parties, love interests and school against a back drop of The Troubles, season two sees them navigate . . . parents, parties, love interests and school against the backdrop of a precarious peace process.

All the old faces return including Kevin McAleer as Uncle Colm, as well as a raft of new ones including Ardal O'Hanlon as Eamonn - the awkward, middle-aged mummy's boy of the Quinn/McCool extended family.

Don't Miss

The Good Fight, 10.15pm, RTÉ One

Gonna keep harping on about this second season. It's just fantastic.

A Democratic National Committee consultant, Ruth Eastman (played by the marvellous Margo Martindale), approaches Reddick, Boseman and Lockhart to develop a confidential impeachment strategy for the DNC against President Trump, leaving the firm's partners at odds.

Meanwhile, after an impromptu visit from Colin’s mother, Lucca is left feeling suspicious of her motives.
