Fair City star Patrick Ball has said he's going to miss playing Carrigstown troublemaker Oisín, but after three years on the RTÉ One show the time is right for a change.
Fans saw Oisín saying goodbye in Thursday night's episode after plenty of family drama, with Ball saying that his last day on set was "pretty emotional".
"Three years might not seem like a long time, but it is a very long time to be on the same job for an actor," he explained.

"You get very close with the people you're working with. I'll miss them a lot, and I'll miss the fun that you have on that set. But at the same time, it's a nice thing to be able to be sad about something like that.
"I had a great three years there, but a part of me wanted a change, to see what else was out there, and everyone in Fair City couldn't have been more supportive of my decision. They really are a great group of people."
Ball said he was glad that fans of the show had seen a different side of Oisín in recent times.
"Oisín's most recent storyline is a strangely emotional one for him," he continued.
"I think it's a nice change of pace, because he becomes quite vulnerable. He's by no means a good guy, but I did feel for him in this last week. His bad streak makes a lot of sense when you see his relationship with [his father] Paul."

Looking to the future, Ball said there is "nothing currently on the horizon, but that could change".
"That's one of the exciting/scary things about acting," he added. "I have nothing on the horizon now, but that could change tomorrow, you just don't know.
"Apart from acting, I'm really enjoying writing. I started doing it on my time off from Fair City, but now that I have more time on my hands, I'll be doing much more of that."
Fair City is on RTÉ One on Sundays at 8:00pm, and on Tuesdays to Thursdays at the same time.
