Fast-rising Irish band Fontaines D.C. have announced details of their debut album Dogrel and their only Irish festival date of the year at All Together Now in Waterford this August Bank Holiday weekend.
Dogrel is released on due out April 12th on Partisan Records and follows the band’s salvo of double A-side singles over the past year.
Drawing much of their inspiration from The Liberties and other parts of disappearing Dublin and fronted by Grian Chatten, Fontaines D.C. have also released the video, which was shot on the capital’s historical Moore Street, for album opener Big.

Speaking about the video, which was directed by Irish photographer Molly Keane, the band said: "We felt that great ambition was a sickness, and we got Grian's 11 year next-door neighbour to say it to you all because he's got the presence of a hundred front men".
Alongside the new album and single, the band have also announced a new EU/UK headline tour starting in November 2019.
The band have just completed a run of over 20 sell out shows across Europe and will support label mates Idles on their US tour in April.
Our debut album 'Dogrel' will be out on April 12th.

Dogrel is a crude, traditionally Irish working-class form of verse, historically looked down upon by literary critics.
