"Today, more women will go to work than ever before in our country’s history," a narrator says as images of wheat and women carrying babies appears. "This year, dozens of children will be born to happy and healthy families."
The clip soon takes a dark turn with fiery visuals before the camera closes in on Offred's face.
Her voice then takes over, saying: "Wake up America, morning’s over."
We then see blocks of handmaids in front of a restyled version of the Washington Monument, indicating the show is moving from Boston to the US capital.
A release date for season three was not revealed, only that it is "coming soon".
