To mark Larry Gogan's last day at 2FM after 40 years at the station - take a trip down memory lane with this fantastic 2005 tribute to the legendary DJ.
Larry, who is leaving 2FM and making the move to RTÉ's digital station Gold, is presenting his last programme on 2FM on January 31 as part of a day of special events celebrating the much-loved broadcaster.
In 2005, when Larry was honoured with an IRMA Award for his contribution to Irish music, a tribute video was made with some of his well-known colleagues and friends.
Produced for IRMA by Red Rage Films, the video features touching anecdotes from a host of Irish stars such as Joe Dolan, Larry Mullen Jr, Ronan Keating, Dave Fanning, Bob Geldof and Ryan Tubridy, who says "I want him to be my dad."
