Veteran rocker Ozzy Osbourne has been forced to cancel Wednesday's Dublin concert at the 3Arena due to illness.

MCD has requested all ticket holders to hold onto their original tickets for the concert as they will be valid for a rearranged date.

The January 30 concert was supposed to be the opening gig off the European leg of his ironically-titled No More Tours 2 tour, a nod to his 1992 tour which at the time was billed as his last.

At the time of the gig's announcement, Osbourne said: "I’m looking at this final tour as being a huge celebration for my fans and anyone who has enjoyed my music over the past five decades."

Just four days ago, the former Black Sabbath front man posted a gory picture of his bloodshot eye on Twitter.

He explained: "Coughed so hard I burst a blood vessel in my eye."

Ozzy Osbourne - who recently turned 70 - is expted to make a quick recovery and is next scheduled to perform in Glasgow on Thursday, February 7.
