London based TV chef Richard Corrigan has offered a reward for anyone who can help him identify a diner who forgot to pay his £1,500 bill in his restaurant.

The 54-year-old Meath chef took to Twitter to seek out what he called "Mr Pimpernel" who dined in his Corrigan's Mayfair restaurant on 18 December. But has renewed his appeal this weekend.

The Michelin star chef explained how he noticed the gourmand: "I was sitting near him at one point and thought there was something odd.

He was sitting there by himself with a very expensive bottle of wine and there was just something that wasn't right about it.

Half an hour later the restaurant's manager went into the back and told me that the customer had left without paying."

The diner's three-course meal included partridge foie gras, truffles and a souffle.
