Dancing on Ice contestant Gemma Collins has insisted she "won't be sabotaged" after claims were made that she is a 'diva' on set.
Earlier in the week the show's hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield slammed the 37-year-old reality star for leaving Sunday's live show 25 minutes before the end because "she was a bit bored". The presenters also took swipe at Collins for taking a nap during rehearsals.
"The thing is, I really love Gemma. I really love Gemma," Willoughby said. "You know I'm a big fan of Gemma and I think she's great on the show, I do. But I think there has to be a little bit of professionalism, a little bit of pride in your work."
Phillip added: "In all my years of television I have never kept a studio waiting like that. The entire studio, that is that massive studio with all the people involved were all standing there waiting.
"Then we found out, 'Where is Gemma, where is Gemma?' like five, ten minutes, schedule knocking on, schedule knocking on, then we find out: oh, she's had a nap."
Taking to her Instagram on Wednesday, Collins told followers that she and professional partner Matt Evers were heartbroken by recent reports in the press that she is hard to work with, and assured fans that she won't be quitting the show.
"Good morning everyone. So sorry for my eyes looking so heavy. Obviously I've been really devastated by all the hurtful press reports this week, which haven't been true," she insisted.
"But I'm not giving up, I'm not quitting. I'm here with the team.
"I've got the shakes where I've been so upset. Please don't believe what's been put out there. Do I want to quit? Yes but I'm not gonna. It's really got me down this week but I hope you enjoy our routine this Sunday."
She added: "I know people say I'm a diva but it's a bit of a laugh, it's not actually true.....
"The reason I haven't been on social media before talking about this, me and Matt have been so upset. We were shell-shocked, we didn't know what to do, we were heartbroken."
Dancing on Ice airs on Virgin Media One on Sunday nights.
