Three albums by the late Prince are set to be released on vinyl for the first time ever next month.

Musicology, 3121 and Planet Earth - released in 2004, 2006 and 2007 respectively - will be released through Sony's Legacy Recordings on February 8.

Musicology includes two Grammy-nominated tracks, namely the title track and Call My Name, while 3121 -which featured tracks like Satisfied, Black Sweat and Fury - was the first Prince’s album to make the number one slot on the Billboard charts since his Batman soundtrack in 1989.

Planet Earth was actually released  as a free CD with The Mail On Sunday as part of a promotional campaign for his spectacular run of 21 concerts at London’s O2 Arena.

Last October, Prince’s family asked for President Trump to desist from playing Purple Rain at political gatherings. A new documentary is forthcoming from Netflix.
