MasterChef judge John Torode and his partner, actress and former Celebrity MasterChef champion Lisa Faulkner, have announced that they became engaged on Christmas Day.
The couple shared their happy news on social media on Monday, January 7.
"And she said YES!!" exclaimed Torode on Instagram. "Bloody love my Lisa .. Have put a ring on it."
The more eloquent Faulkner wrote: "My gorgeous John completely surprised me on Christmas Day and asked me to marry him!"
"After waiting to tell our family when we got home we then had a few days just grinning at each other!! I'm so very happy to share our lovely news with you," she continued.
"Happy 2019 it's going to be quite a year and I'm going to embrace every minute of it. All you need is love. Love is all you need."
Faulkner was a winner of Celebrity MasterChef in 2010 and she and Torode began dating in 2012. Faulkner and her ex-husband, actor Chris Coghill, have a daughter together.
John Torode split up with his ex-wife Jessica in 2011 and they divorced in 2014. They have two children together and Torode has another two children from a previous relationship.
