Coronation Street actress Tina O'Brien, who plays Sarah-Louise Platt in the popular soap, has reportedly married her fiancée Adam Crofts.

According to The Mirror newspaper, the actress married her partner in a New Year's Eve ceremony at the King Street Tavern in Manchester. News of the nuptials was kept relatively secret with no indications on social media.

Fellow Corrie stars Helen Worth who plays Gail Platt, Jack P Shepherd who plays David (Platt), and Lucy Fallon who plays Bethany (Platt) reportedly attended the intimate ceremony.

O'Brien's former co-star and ex-partner Ryan Thomas is also believed to have been present at the celebrations.

The actress has a 10-year-old daughter named Scarlett with Thomas. They parted when their daughter was a year old.

"It took a while for everyone to find a way to make it work, but now it does - really well, in fact,"  O'Brien recently told The Sun.

"It's taken a lot of years and a lot of biting my tongue. Seriously, though, it's mainly down to Adam and Ryan. It helps that everyone has moved on and is in a happy place. Ryan is really happy and we are happy, so there aren't any issues".

O'Brien and Crofts first met in 2011 and became engaged in 2016. They have a young son named Beau, who was born in 2014.

The actress recalled how Ryan popped the question in an interview with OK! magazine.

"My heart was hammering, I opened the door and Adam was standing there in his shirt and all smartly dressed. There were candles all around the room and flowers and petals on the bed in the shape of a heart.

"He immediately got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. He said lots of lovely words but I can't remember any of them!"
