Paul McCartney: trying to put bullying in perspective in new short film

Paul McCartney plays a "Behavioral Hypnotist Meteorologist" in the film for the single Who Cares from his new album, Egypt Station.

"My hope is that if there are kids being bullied - and there are," McCartney says. "Maybe by listening to this song and watching this video, they might just think it’s not as bad…that it’s the kind of thing you can just stand up to and laugh off and get through."

Shot on 65mm Kodak film with Panavision cameras, the film features Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone who visits Macca in the course of the video.

The clip was created with nonprofit Creative Visions, Artemis Rising Foundation, and the Blue Chip Foundation, among others, as part of the anti-bullying campaign #WhoCaresIDo.

McCartney has been busy of late, what with the 50th anniversary edition of The Beatles' The White Album.

There are plans for a 2019 world tour and a children’s book to be penned by the musician.

Stone, meanwhile, has been critically lauded for her performance in Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite. She will next play a young Cruella de Vil in 100 Dalmatians prequel Cruella.
