The official Game of Thrones tour is coming to Belfast next year.

It will be hosted at the Titanic Exhibition Centre from April 11 until September 1, 2019 and will feature immersive experiences using storylines from the HBO fantasy series.

Fans of the show can get a close look at the props, costumes and settings from all seven seasons of the show, a large part of which is filmed in Northern Ireland.

Jeff Peters, a vice president at HBO, said: "Given the unique and central role that Northern Ireland has played in the life and legacy of the show, and we are thrilled that we are bringing Game Of Thrones: The Touring Exhibition to Belfast.

"We're so happy to invite our fans in Northern Ireland, the rest of the UK and the Republic of Ireland to join us in the Titanic Quarter in Belfast to immerse themselves in the world of Game Of Thrones."

The exhibition centre is close to the Titanic Studios where much of the series was filmed over a 10-year period.

The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is due to air next April, concluding the saga based on George RR Martin's novels that began in 2011.

A suitably ominous teaser for the final series of Game of Thrones was released last week and hints at a showdown between fire and ice.
