Footballer manager Harry Redknapp has been crowned the winner of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! with The Inbetweeners star Emily Atack in second place and Torchwood's John Barrowman in third.

The 23-day series drew to a close on Sunday night with all three finalists successfully completing their Bushtucker Trials involving 'fine dining' and being covered in rats and insects.

Redknapp, whose family and friends had contended he would last just two days on the show, said taking part had taught him "how to laugh again".

"I'm amazed I survived three weeks," the 71-year-old King of the Jungle admitted.

He paid tribute to his fellow campmates, describing them as "the most lovely people I've ever met".

Having never seen I'm A Celebrity... before signing up to take part, Redknapp added that he would watch the show in the future.
