Chris Noth says Sex and the City 3 is ''over and gone'' and fans shouldn't expect a revival in any shape or form.

The 64-year-old actor, who played Mr. Big on the popular TV series along with starring in two spin-off movies, has admitted the franchise is finished and said there won't be a third big screen outing for Carrie and her pals.

Speaking to The Sun Online, Chris said: ''There's no drama, there's no movie, there's nothing going on with it, it's over it's gone.''

It was recently reported that the shelved third Sex and the City movie was set to kill off Carrie’s longtime love in a shocking twist, but Noth has revealed this wasn't the case.

"He wasn't going to die. There's no way he was dying that was all a lie.''

Last year Sarah Jessica Parker officially confirmed that there will be no more Sex And The City movies.
