British comedians Eddie Izzard and Josh Widdicombe are both winging their way to Dublin's Olympia Theatre for gigs towards the end of 2019.

Five years after his last comedy tour Force Majeure made comedy history by playing 45 countries, all 50 US States and being staged in four languages, Eddie Izzard returns with Wunderbar, an all-new show which expands on his surreal view of life, love, history and his ‘theory of the universe’.

"It is getting close to the time when I have to go off for a while to have a political life," he says. "But before I do that, I want to keep giving audiences around the world the best stand-up comedy shows that I can – especially at a time of Brexit-hate and Trump-hate.

"My new show is about everything from humans over the last 100,000 years to talking dogs and animal superheroes. I am looking forward to coming to see everyone again."

The gigs are scheduled for November 14-16, and tickets go on sale this Thursday November 29 at 10am.

Josh Widdicombe arrives for a one-off show at the Olympia October 20, with tickets on sale from next Friday, November 30.
