Press continues to impress, there's a new foodie show on Netflix, and it's the season finale of cracking BBC drama Informer...

Pick of the day

Press, 10.15pm, RTÉ One

Even if you missed last week's opener, it's not too late to take up this hugely enjoyable BBC drama about two London-based newspapers, one broadsheet and one tabloid.

This second episode sees Holly helps Leona investigate a lead at a hospital, and Ed struggles with his conscience after a night working on the Post's showbiz desk. Meanwhile, Duncan struggles at home.

Press is worth watching just for Ben Chaplin's excellent turn as cynical tabloid editor Duncan Allen.

Here's an intro to the main characters:

New or Returning Shows

The Money Shot, 12.05am, Channel 4

Walter Presents continues with this bold drama from France.

The Valadines are a family like any other, with their neuroses, their interactions and their conflicts, except for one small detail: they work in the adult entertainment industry.

Naturally, this show is in French with English subtitles.

After the premiere of episode one on Channel 4, the full series will be immediately available, free to view or download, on All 4.

999: What's Your Emergency? 9.00pm, Channel 4

This fly-on-the wall doc focuses on the relentless work carried out by Wiltshire's police, paramedic and fire services.

In this episode, the most curious incident occurs when unarmed police officers are called to a Sunday league football match where a disgruntled player is brandishing an axe.

Ending Tonight

Informer, 9.00pm, BBC One

This intriguingly-layered drama has been yet another triumph for the BBC, who are churning out quality shows on an outrageously regular basis.

Nabhaan Rizwan has been great in the lead role of would-be informer Raza, but Paddy Considine really kicks the scenery about playing counter-terrorism officer DS Gabe Waters.

As the complex story finally reaches its conclusion, Raza and Gabe’s lives catch up to the tragic events at Cafe 66, when several people were shot dead by a terrorist.

The terrorist cell is exposed and the final, deadly details surrounding the attack on Café 66 are revealed. The fallout from these catastrophic events and revelations that follow change the lives of all those involved forever.
