"I'd give her anything that's mine in life to give her to the last breath that I breathe, and if I have a choice I pray God takes me first 'cause you're stronger than me" run the heartfelt lines of Garth Brooks' new song, Stronger Than Me, which is dedicated to his wife singer Trisha Yearwood
Brooks handed over his Entertainer of the Year crown to Keith Urban at Wednesday night’s CMA Awards, during which he sang the new song, reports Rolling Stone.
The country music star - who recently concluded a mammoth, three-year world tour - directed the performance as though serenading Yearwood alone. The couple married 13 years ago.
The first two dates on Brooks’ 2019 US stadium tour are on sale, while Yearwood recently announced her forthcoming album, Let’s Be Frank, a collection of Frank Sinatra covers, due for release shortly.
Recently, Garth sold out the first ever concert at Notre Dame Football Stadium, the film of which will air on CBS on December 2.
The Anthology Part III, LIVE, will be released on Tuesday, described as a "detailed, insider look at the electrifying concerts of Garth Brooks, with behind-the-scenes stories, insider secrets, and interviews with band and crew."
The package contains five CDs, including the live album, Triple Live, featuring 52 live recordings, along with "10 augmented reality experiences that can be seen on the Garth Live app."
Meanwhile, tickets for two stadium concerts are currently on sale, the first of these at St Louis, Missouri on March 9 2019, followed by a date in Glendale, Arizona on March 23.
