Richard Madeley has marked 32 years of marriage to Judy Finnigan on a positive note, saying that their relationship has never been hit by a crisis.
The former This Morning presenters Madeley (62) and Finnigan (70) first met in 1982. They married four years later, and the couple have two grown-up children, Jack and Chloe.
"There’s no great panacea, " Madeley told The Sun. " We’ve had our moments, and the occasional screaming, f*** you row, but it’s always been over something trivial.
"We’ve never had marriage counselling, and never ever so much as discussed divorce. There have been no crisis dinners, nothing. We respect each other, and that’s the key."
Madeley added that he never talks about his sex life, while revealing that the couple have always shared a bed and still share an en-suite bathroom.
"Having said that, I am very happy with my sex life, " said the presenter. "And I’ve never had to sleep on the couch."
