Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry has said he is "doing well" after being taken to hospital with breathing difficulties following a surprise appearance at a Billy Joel concert on Saturday night.
The rocker fell ill after joining Joel onstage for a rendition of Aerosmith's Walk This Way at the gig in Madison Square Garden in New York.
Perry has now told his fans he is feeling better, tweeting: "Doing well, thanks for all the love and support!"

A representative for the guitarist said in a statement that paramedics gave Perry oxygen backstage at Madison Square Garden before taking him to hospital.
They said the musician was "alert and responsive" the following morning and added that he is expected to return to the road later this month.

Following the incident, Perry cancelled an appearance at a rock fantasy camp in Florida on Sunday.
